We are not alone, we live in God’s world. We are called to be the church: to celebrate God’s presence, to love and serve others, to seek justice and resist evil, to proclaim Jesus, crucified and risen, our judge and our hope. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JIM TERNENT!

To celebrate his 90th birthday, First Church has been invited to a birthday fellowship immediately following worship on July 21st in the Covenant Center.  We thank Jim's family for the invitation to celebrate this milestone with our brother.

CHURCH WINDOWS

Our beautiful church home requires constant upkeep just like your house.

Take a close look at the window frames. Many are peeling badly. And if you start counting the number of windows, you can quickly see that it is not a small problem. Last year a couple dedicated men scraped, sanded and painted the windows along the ramp. We would now like to finish the remaining windows along that side (facing the parsonage).

First work session- Saturday, August 17th, 8:30-noon

                   Second work session-Monday, August 19th- 8:30-noon

Please indicate your availability on the response cards or call Mary Jo Lipski, 724-545-2289.

Also-if you know any person who might work on additional windows for modest pay, please let us know.
