VBS SCENERY HELP

We will not be having our regular workday this year. I will have items for scenery ready in the library room next Sunday is anyone wants to take home and do and bring back. There will be cutting, gluing, folding, coloring, and painting to be done. There will be a sign out sheet so I know who took what. And each will have a deadline that it needs to be done by and brought back.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

Mark your calendars, grab your camera strap and buckle your seat-belts. VBS 2019 will take you on a wild adventure—with elephants and egrets, polar bears and penguins, cockatoos and crocodiles. As we seek out exotic animals, we’ll also find snapshots of real-life encounters with Jesus in scripture. Kids will go from bewildered to believing as they get In the Wild at this summer’s VBS. June 17-21 from 9:00-12:00. Helpers and help needed in all areas from coloring and cutting decorations at work days or at home ahead of time, planning games, making nametags, being a crew leader to teaching the lessons the week of VBS. We hope to see you there!

HE BREWS COFFEE HOUSE

The youth have set up a coffee house in the Library Room. They have coffee (from a Keurig) and some muffins. This is by donation. All donations go towards the youth group fundraiser. Please help yourself. Thank you

FIRST CHURCH RUMMAGE SALE

The annual First Chruch Rummage Sale will be Saturday, June 1st from 8:00-1:00 PM in the Covenant Center. Donations may be dropped off at the Covenant Center Wednesday, May 22nd through Monday, May 27th. We accept any donations except clothing and electronics. More details to follow! You may direct questions to Kim Yankasky by texting or calling 724-664-6867 or emailing kayankasky@gmail.com.

PILL BOTTLE MISSION

Manorville is continuing to collect empty pill bottles of all sizes and colors. You can use Goo-Gone to remove the sticky residue. They will be shipped to African or Asian countries. In many small villages the people don’t have “containers” to take the medicines home with them.  They will be collected at least thru the summer. (There is a box in the Library Room if you wish to donate your empty pill bottles)

APRIL MISSIONS

We have a fresh, giving idea for our church family’s mission project in April. Let’s fill a lovely spring basket full of necessary life items for our friends at ARC Manor! As you know we have a team of caring people who visit ARC Manor each week, sharing faith journeys, devotional times, and snacks. We thought giving “spring baskets filled with life items” might be a loving gesture.

Here is a list of items we are looking for:

Towels                 Kleenex Tissues                       Notebooks or Journals

Washcloths          Socks (Men & Women)           Daily devotionals

Shampoo              Tee Shirts                                Single bed sheet sets          Conditioner          Underwear (men & women)    Pillowcases

Shaving Cream     Plastic drinking cups               2019 Pocket Planners

Toothpaste (no mouthwash)             Alcoholics Anonymous books
