In you, O Lord, do I take refuge; let me never be put to shame! In your righteousness deliver me and rescue me; incline your ear to me, and save me! Be to me a rock of refuge, a strong fortress, to save me, for you are my rock and my fortress. Rescue me, O my God, from the hand of the wicked, from the grasp of the unjust and cruel. For you, O Lord, are my hope, my trust, O Lord, from my youth. Upon you I have learned from my birth; it was you who took me from my mother’s womb. My praise is continually of you.

*Gloria Patri                                                                                          No. 70

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. Amen.

We will be showing “The Incredibles 2” for the kids in the library room adjacent to the sanctuary which will be staffed by members of the congregation.  FUMC church family will focus its mission care on Ramps of Hope. This active building project is coordinated by Lynn Sibley & Tim Scaife who serves as the team leader. Last year this talented, hard-working team provided 17 ramps mainly in Kittanning and Ford City also including five surrounding areas.

Ramps, often “life-savers” for families, enable persons access to, more easily, go to a doctor’s appointment, physical therapy, church, etc. They give the wonderful ability to go outdoors for a person who is more homebound. One lady often uses her ramp to walk back and forth with her walker-giving her more exercise and independence.

Our financial gifts will buy lag bolts and screws for these sturdy, safe and sometimes very long ramps. Won’t you give generously to this life-enhancing project Ramps of Hope? You never know when someone in your family may need this help. God Bless.               Missions Committee

Join us Thursday, February 21st at noon in the Covenant Center for our February SIFT Luncheon. The program will be Bruce Matthews, Kittanning Chief of Police.
