COMMUNITY THANKSGIVING SERVICE

Sunday, November 24th at 7:00 PM at St. John's Lutheran Church on North Jefferson Street.  All are welcome.

 

DECORATE THE CHURCH FOR CHRISTMAS

Everyone is invited to come help decorate the church for Christmas on Tuesday, November 26th beginning about 8:30 AM. We are usually finished around noon.

Come when you can and stay for how long you are able.

 

POINSETTIAS

Remember, today is the last day to order your poinsettias.

 

The November Financial report is available in the office for anyone interested.

 

ATTENTION ALL CHILDREN AND YOUTH,

IT’S THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN…

CHRISTMAS PLAY - (ages 2 and up)  We'll start practicing December 1st during Children's church and share the play with the congregation during worship December 22.  This is always a fun time of year!  We hope you can join us!  There are both speaking and non-speaking parts so there is something for everyone.

BELLS - We are also planning to play the bells during the Christmas Eve service (7:30 pm).   We'll practice those during Children's church too over the next couple weeks.    

ACOLYTES - (Grades 4 and up).  We need 2 Acolytes for Christmas Eve so please let Sue know if you will be in church that evening and want to help.

 

POPCORN SALE

Today is the last day to order popcorn. See Linda Scaife

 

NOVEMBER MISSIONS

           Our local FOOD BANK- starting November 10th tables will be provided for us to place canned goods and non-perishable food items on for needy families in our area. Especially needed are: peanut butter, cans of tuna, canned fruit. Give generously so others may have food.

          May your heart and soul be blessed as we send love (in practical ways) to those who are in need. Blessings, Your Missions Committee

 

FREE THANKSGIVING DINNER

Walkchalk Salem Baptist Church is hosting a free Thanksgiving dinner at our Covenant Center on Thanksgiving Day from noon until 2:00 PM.  All are welcome!  Although the members of the Baptist church are preparing and serving the food, they would like you to know you are welcome to come help that day too! You can help prepare food from 10:00 AM till noon, serve food from noon until 2:00 PM or clean up at 2:00 PM. If you would like to help, please see Kim Yankasky (call 724-664-6867 or email kayankasky@gmail.com).  Have a blessed Thanksgiving! 

 

HE BREWS COFFEE HOUSE

The youth have set up a coffee house in the Library Room. They have coffee (from a Keurig) and some muffins. This is by donation. All donations go towards the youth group fundraiser. Please help yourself. Thank you

Live Nativity-Saturday, November 30th from 4:00-7:00 PM. (During FC Light-up Night) Live animals, FREE kids crafts and refreshments.
