PILL BOTTLE MISSION

Manorville is continuing to collect empty pill bottles of all sizes and colors. You can use Goo-Gone to remove the sticky residue. They will be shipped to African or Asian countries. In many small villages the people don’t have “containers” to take the medicines home with them.  They will be collected at least thru the summer. (There is a box in the Library Room if you wish to donate your empty pill bottles)

FRIENDS OF RUTH M. SMITH CENTER

The Ruth M. Smith Center located in Sheffield, PA Warren County is a mission of the United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. The Smith Center operates a licensed daycare program for 30 children; a personal care facility for 28 elderly and intellectually disadvantaged persons; and has a recreation facility available for use by community youth.

None of the residents of the Smith Center are able to pay the full cost of their fees.  The Smith Center relies heavily on benevolent giving to make up the difference.

A greater giving opportunity

Annually, the Smith Center participates in an online donation event conducted by Warren Gives - a local community foundation - that matches a percentage of funds donated online to participating local non-profits including the Ruth M. Smith Center.

Last year this event brought in over $11,000 to support the work of the Smith Center.  We hope for even greater support from individuals and groups in 2019.

How does Warren Gives 2019 work?

·        The date for online giving is May 22, 2019

·        Giving must be done online between 6:00AM - 10:00PM

·        Giving must be by using credit or debit card
